*Yes we had permission, and yes our neighbors are very happy with the new mailbox* How did we do? the original mailbox was sentimental for the family whose husband/father built it since he passed away 10 years ago. That makes the original mailbox probably over 20 years old by the looks of it! To preserve the memory, Will cut out a piece of wood from the original mailbox (one of the only pieces that wasn't completely rotted) and inlayed it in a diamond shape on the side of the new mailbox.
